Miranda Lamberts New Husband Brendan McLoughlin Was Dying To Meet Her For Years

Miranda Lambert shocked fans around the world when she tied the knot last weekend with her boyfriend of three months. While we are still learning about the couple’s relationship, inside sources now claim that Lambert’s husband was one of her biggest fans.

Lambert’s significant other, police officer Brendan McLoughlin, reportedly spent years dreaming of meeting her in person. In the process of trying to get close to the country star, McLoughlin allegedly crossed paths with Lambert’s ex-husband, Blake Shelton.

According to Daily Mail, McLoughlin met Shelton and a host of other celebrities while working security for Good Morning America. He was also previously employed by MTV and is currently working with the NYPD.  It is unclear how he met Lambert, though she was clearly everything he dreamed of and more.

Lambert recently confirmed the wedding news on social media. The singer shared a photo of her and McLoughlin posing at the ceremony, which took place at the end of January. In the caption, Lambert gushed about her new husband and called him the love of her life.

“In honor of Valentine’s Day I wanted to share some news,” Lambert told fans. “I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full.”

Shelton and Lambert were married for a number of years before calling it quits in 2015. Shelton is currently in a relationship with Gwen Stefani, whom he started seeing shortly after the divorce.

McLoughlin is expected to remain with the NYPD through the couple’s first year of marriage. Lambert, meanwhile, will live at her estate in Tennessee, which means they will have to commute to see each other. The police officer will reportedly consider relocating after they have been together for a year.

Inside sources say that Shelton was surprised by the wedding news and had no idea Lambert’s romance was that serious. He also allegedly called her marriage “curious” given the timing of it all. Although Shelton’s relationship with Stefani is still going strong, the two are in no rush to follow Miranda Lambert down the aisle.
